Fritzl Case
We looked into real cases to which we may be able to adapt traits of them into our treatment. The first case we looked into was the Fritzl case which emerged in April 2008. It was a case where Josef Fritzl had held his daughter Elisabeth captive for 24 years. In those 24 years she was locked up in the basement of their house and during the period Josef had 7 children with his daughter.Fred and Rose West
We also looked into the case of Fred and Rose West, a serial killer couple in Gloucester who had raped and murdered at least 13+ young women and girls, some whom were their own children. It was only found out in May 1992 when one of Fred's daughter had told her friends that she had been raped by her father whilst being filmed. from then one of her friends told her mother to which she had called the police to further investigate the family.
From the two cases we looked at, the traits of the case we extracted were that the victims were vulnerable girls/women who were not able to find a way out of their situation.
